MTV VMA 2017: Kendrick Lamar Memimpin Dengan 8 Nominasi

MTV VMA (Video Music Awards) adalah ajang penghargaan tahunan bagi penggiat dan pegiat dunia musik. Untuk tahun ini MTV VMA akan disiarkan secara langsung di The Forum di Inglewood, California, pada hari Minggu 27 Agustus mendatang. Pada hari Rabu (26/07) kemarin, MTV resmi merilis daftar nominasi untuk MTV VMA 2017. Dan tahun ini sepertinya menjadi tahun baik untuk Kendric Lamar. Pasalnya rapper yang pernah berduet dengan Taylor Swift ini berhasil menyabet 8 nominasi sekaligus termasuk Video of the Year, Best Hip Hop, dan Best Cinematography, semua untuk lagunya yang berjudul HUMBLE. Kemudian di posisi selanjutnya disusul oleh Katy Perry dan The Weeknd dengan masing-masing 5 nominasi.
Tidak hanya di ikuti MTV Movie & TV Awards 2017 setelah nya, MTV VMA 2017 juga merubah susunan kategori. Pada tahun ini mereka memutuskan untuk menghapus nominasi yang bersinggungan dengan jenis kelamin. MTV telah menghilangkan kategori Best Female Video dan Best Male Video, kemudian dileburnya menjadi satu di kategori Artist of The Year. Terdapat total 15 kategori yang akan diperebutkan oleh masing-masing nominasinya, berikut adalah kategori nya:
